The night before the 2008 presidential election, Celina, Ben, Anaid and I hit New York City streets with stencils, brushes, and water-based tempura paint (impermanent). We tagged Alphabet City ’s sidewalks with the block’s designated polling site address to direct people the following morning.
Taking a more personalized approach by tagging apartment building doorsteps may have been more effective.
Ideally, I’d like to see voting information sent to all registered voters via email or SMS.
